Rush TV interview on CBC this Thursday April 27, 2007
Rush will be appearing on the CBC program The Hour on Thursday, May 3rd according to this press release:
Canadian rock band Rush is scheduled to sit down for an interview on “The Hour” tonight. Should be interesting to see if guitarist Alex Lifeson wants to chat about his altercation with deputies in Florida on New Year’s Eve 2003. Lifeson had sued in U.S. federal judge claiming deputies violated his civil rights while subduing him and his son during a skirmish at a party in Naples. But last month the judge ruled that deputies did not use excessive force. (CBC)

Rush radio interviews; Alice Cooper, Kim Mitchell, Q107 and more
There are a lot of band interviews happening over the next week so I thought I’d recap. Earlier this week, reader Ken P told me that Alice Cooper had announced on his radio show that he had interviewed Alex and Geddy. Well we now know when the interview will air. Updates and other random Rush stuff April 26, 2007
It goes without saying that the next week will be extremely hectic in Rushland. A few lucky fans in Europe (and a few in the US too!) have already been able to purchase Snakes & Arrows. Fans in the UK will be able to get their hands on the CD Monday if not sooner. Us state-siders have to wait until Tuesday. For the impatient (who haven’t already downloaded it) several radio premiers of the album will run starting tonight and throughout the weekend. The Q107 preview special will run at stations all over Canada starting tonight. For a complete list of stations and times go here. The Rush special on Sirius Classic Rewind also will air tonight at 10PM with rebroadcasts Saturday, April 28th at 12PM EST; Sunday, April 29th at 11PM EST; and Tuesday, May 1st at 3PM EST. And XM Radio will air a 28-hour Rush special called the RUSH HOURS starting at midnight on April 30th.

The June 2007 issue of Guitar One Magazine is out on newstands and Alex Lifeson is on the cover. The issue is a Prog Rock special issue and the cover tagline reads Alex Lifeson Does Retro on Snakes & Arrows. Contained within is a long interview with Alex along with several great studio pics. Q107 Snakes & Arrows radio special to air tomorrow night
Earlier last week Jeff Woods of Toronto’s Q107 was lucky enough to interview all 3 members of Rush. He’d taken question suggestions from fans the week prior and ended up asking many of these questions in his interview. He then posted several of the questions along with answers from Alex and Geddy on his blog last week and on Friday a 3-minute teaser clip of the interview was put online. The interview was to be part of a 90-minute special where they’d play music from the new album interspersed with the interview segments. We now finally know when the special will air. Dick Tree over at Counterparts just heard on Q107 that it will air tomorrow night (Thursday) and that they are saying they’ll play the entire album.
